I’m Not Asking Him to Run My Marriage…Why I Support Newt

A lot of people have asked me lately how I, as a Christian, could possibly support a guy who cheated on his wife and has been divorced twice and is on his third marriage.

First I’ll give you my Christian answer which is pretty obvious: Forgiveness. Newt has asked for it and I’d NOT be a Christian if I couldn’t give it to him. Matthew 6:15 says, “But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Newt is a politician and he could be lying, but to me with regards to this particular issue, he seems quite genuine. Every interview that I’ve heard him talking about this topic he seems genuinely sorry.

It is also important from a Christian perspective to remember that we are all sinners. Every other candidate who has ever run for President was also a sinner. However, I definitely prefer my candidate to realize this and have a personal relationship with Christ and realize HE is the ONLY means to true forgiveness and total annihilation of those sins as if he or More >

Happy Veteran’s Day!

It is always nice when I get to spend the day away from the busyness of work and share it with my family. I’m sure if I had to work today I’d be bugged and wishing I didn’t have to. It is nice to be able to set aside a day to reflect on many things we normally don’t think about on a daily basis. Our many freedoms! Freedom isn’t just a word! Freedom is something that has been granted to us by our Creator and protected countless times throughout many generations with blood, sweat, and tears…and not only by our brave Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines but also by their families.

While we are here taking a day off of work, or maybe even working (and angry that we can’t be off), let us remember that many have risked there lives and, at this very moment, many are still risking their lives for us to do so. Honestly the title of this article bothers me.  It is like saying, “Merry Xmas” or “Happy turkey day.” It takes away the true meaning of the day and what it is all about.  I believe it is either a concerted effort by the left or a subconscious effort to undermine its importance.

Is America Ready for a Woman?

Are we ready for a woman President? Well I know that I am! Especially if it is Michelle Bachmann or someone who is as RIGHT ON as she is! I know the democrats aren’t ready for a woman though…no matter what party she comes from. They quickly realized after voting in Barrack Obama that when America votes for someone they’ve always touted as being “held down” then they can’t tout it anymore! If America votes for a woman next what will they have left to “fight” for?

Racism in the NAACP and the Democrat Party

I hate to do it…I hate to talk about the dead.  But I have to.  I feel that with the recent events starting with the NAACP passing a resolution to condemn Tea Party racism, the recent news about the New Black Panther party, and now the viral video that caught Shirley Sherrod, USDA state director of rural development bragging about how she treated a white constituent differently than she would’ve treated a black one, that the record needs to be set straight.

Robert Byrd was given a pass about his time in the Ku Klux Klan because he was a registered Democrat.  Take a moment to think about all of the “passes” that are given to Democrats.  Seriously think about it.  It could be ethical violations, moral violations or even legal violations.  They get a pass until it can’t be given anymore.

Judge Lets Mexico Have Voice in Court Case Against U.S. Immigration Law

Mexico gets its a say in one of the lawsuits challenging Arizona’s immigration enforcement law.

A federal judge on Thursday granted Mexico’s request to be allowed to file a legal brief supporting the challenge. That means the judge will consider the brief Mexico submitted previously.

Mexico says it wants to defend its citizens’ rights and that the law would lead to racial profiling and hinder trade and tourism. It also says the law would hinder work against drug trafficking and related violence.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, who signed the law on April 23 and changes to it on April 30, has lawyers defending it in court.

In a statement issued last week, Brewer said she was “very disappointed” to learn of Mexico’s filing and reiterated that “Arizona’s immigration enforcement laws are both reasonable and constitutional.”

“I believe that Arizona will ultimately prevail and that our laws will be found constitutional,” Brewer added.

Time for George Miller to Go!

One of the fossils in the US Congress is George Miller of California’s 7th Congressional District.  This November is not soon enough to kick his butt out!

Miller who is almost always at the heels of Nancy Pelosi and doesn’t miss a photo op with her, is one of the nations most liberals congressman.  He proudly pushed for the disastrous health insurance killer we now call Obamacare.

After his vote he emailed his consti tuents:

“Hundreds of people from my congressional district have called in the last few days about health care… I am truly proud to say that, despite the intense and unified opposition…, Congress has prevailed.”
