Time for George Miller to Go!
0One of the fossils in the US Congress is George Miller of California’s 7th Congressional District. This November is not soon enough to kick his butt out!
Miller who is almost always at the heels of Nancy Pelosi and doesn’t miss a photo op with her, is one of the nations most liberals congressman. He proudly pushed for the disastrous health insurance killer we now call Obamacare.
After his vote he emailed his consti tuents:
“Hundreds of people from my congressional district have called in the last few days about health care… I am truly proud to say that, despite the intense and unified opposition…, Congress has prevailed.”
So besides being a prime example of why we need term limits…and being in office for 36 years, who really is George Miller?
- Proponent of partial birth abortion. Yes that’s right. That is the absolutely awful procedure of killing the baby as it is coming into this world. He is for it in all instances.

Stevens, Kagan and Judicial Activism
0Bear with me and by all means correct and or modify my thinking if you believe differently.
After reading all 214 pages of the McDonald decision, (08-1521.pdf), (my new favorite piece of literature), two things became very clear, at least in my mind.
1. Stevens’ dissent proved to be a 57 page admission of activist-judicial guilt.
2. Elena Kagan crafted her generic and ridiculous opening statement before she was able to read her hero’s dissent in McDonald.
Before reading the decision in it’s entirety, I skipped directly to the final sentence of Alito’s opinion and then set out reading the dissenting responses. As I am not qualified to analyze the legal depth of much of the contents of the document, I am forced to look at the information with a layman’s eyes and hopefully some level of common sense.
If you read Stevens’ dissent and then immediately read Scalias’ response you will see that Stevens seems to be making, what I believe could be More >
Congressman Pete Starks – Jerk of the Year Award!
1“Our borders are quite secure, thank you.” replied Congressman Starks of California’s 13th Congressional District to a question from a constituent. The constituent apparently is a Minuteman which Starks doesn’t like and that is quite obvious. His simple question to the Congressman was, “Why is the federal government leaving our borders porous so that anybody can come in anywhere they want.” Earlier Starks showed that same constituent so much respect by asking , “Who are you going to kill today?”
I can’t believe the elitist attitude coming from this Congressman who is supposed to be a representative of us. He is definitely not worried about what these citizens think. He shows them all disrespect but obvoisly has a problem with this one person in the audience more than any others. When the Minuteman asked him to stop making fun of them, Congressman Starks replied, “I don’t have to make fun of you sir, you are doing a fine job.” He later calls the same person a wacko!

California Pro-Life Group Takes on Meg Whitman Over Taxpayer-Funded Abortions
0by Steven Ertelt – LifeNews.com Editor
Sacramento, CA (LifeNews.com) — A California pro-life group is taking on Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, who is blanketing the airwaves with ads calling herself a “Reagan conservative.” But the director of the California Pro-Life Council says Whitman doesn’t resemble that because she supports taxpayer-funded abortions.
Brian Johnston, the head of the pro-life group, tells LifeNews.com “Meg Whitman is no Ronald Reagan and her candidacy is unacceptable to millions of California Pro-Life voters.”
“Whitman’s position that there should be no limitations on taxpayer funding of abortion is clear repudiation of Ronald Reagan’s commitment to the value of individual human lives,” he added. “Even by her own rhetoric, if this is an issue of ‘privacy’ or ‘individual choice’ the government should not be More >
Communism vs. Christianity
0By Frank Aquila
Communist and those countries that embrace Socialism and Communism have tried many times in history to proclaim there is no God. They believed faith in God is a deceptive illusion and wanted to remove Christianity from their society.
Christianity is a religion of freedom and democracy while Communist have always viewed Christianity as weak and as a threat to the Communist movement of government control of the people. Karl Marx, the communist leader who introduced the Marxist philosophy, also opposed religion. According to Marx, religion prevents the fulfillment of his Communist ideas – that Communism is the only answer for all the world’s problems. Marx believed religion created illusory fantasies for the poor. Therefore, a removal of religion was necessary for people to become dependent on government rather than trust religion.
Communist introduced 45 goals in their Communist Manifesto to remove capitalism and God from America. On January 10, 1963, Rep. Albert S More >
Bill would ban free bags at California's grocery stores
0SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Besides grocery carts and checkstands, California’s supermarket shopping experience is marked by a simple question: Paper or plastic?
Soon the answer may be neither.
California would become the first state to ban grocery, liquor and drug stores from providing free paper or plastic bags under legislation pushed by Democrats and supported by Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The goal is to fight litter and lighten the load on landfills by getting shoppers to use reusable fabric bags. Those who don’t could buy paper bags for a nickel or more.
“I think the proliferation of plastic bags is unnecessary, and it’s a pollutant, an urban tumbleweed,” Democratic Assemblywoman Julia Brownley said of the lightweight bags that can litter yards and clog waterways.
Californians use about 19 billion plastic bags a year, about 552 bags apiece, according to a legislative committee analysis of Brownley’s proposal, Assembly Bill 1998.

Welcome to Maywood, Mexico
0Boasting a population that is 97% Hispanic, more than half foreign born, and 40% illegal, the Los Angeles County, Calif., incorporated city of Maywood has achieved the Reconquista goal. It is now as lawless and chaotic as any place in Mexico. Maywood is a warning to every city and town in America.
The Maywood City Council announced this week that after years of radical policies, corruption and scandal, the city was broke and all city employees would be laid off and essential city services contracted out to neighboring cities or to L.A. County government.
How did this happen? Until recently, Maywood was the model for “brown power” politics.
Maywood was the first California city with an elected Hispanic City Council, one of the first “sanctuary” cities for illegal aliens, the first city to pass a resolution calling for a boycott of Arizona after that state passed a law to enforce federal immigration laws, the first California city to order its police department not to More >
Christians hauled to jail for preaching Jesus – 'Apparently the Constitution carries little weight in Dearborn'
0One of the nation’s top legal teams regarding civil and religious rights has stepped into a dispute stemming from last weekend’s Arab Festival in Dearborn, Mich., where police are accused of enforcing Islamic law.
“Officers arrested four Christian missionaries and illegally confiscated their video cameras, which were recording the events surrounding their arrests,” said a statement today from the Thomas More Law Center of Ann Arbor, Mich.
Officials in the police department with the city of Dearborn declined to comment to WND.
But the law-center announcement said the incident has been described as “police enforcement of Shariah law.” The organization said it would represent the Christians.
“These Christian missionaries were exercising their constitutional rights to free speech and the free exercise of religion, but apparently the Constitution carries little weight in Dearborn, where the Muslim population seems to dominate the political apparatus,” said Richard Thompson, More >
Obama Democrats have Declared War on the States
0By JB Williams
Let’s establish right up front that not all Democrats are with Obama, and therefore, not all Democrats are on the wrong side of the fight for freedom, liberty and states’ rights. Former Marine and Constitutional Democrat Tim Curtis is running for congress in the heavily Democratic 11th district in Florida, and because Tea Party and 912 folks still think it’s all about R’s and D’s, he has no real support from the so-called “constitutional” movement. What a real shame!
Meanwhile, Democrats in the Progressive Caucus and Black Caucus (aka Democratic Socialists of America) are fully on-board with Obama. But not all Democrats are on-board…
Obama and all who stand with him today – have openly declared war on the states and the American people and Obama & Co. plan to win that ideological war before the average American figures out that they are indeed at war with their federal government for the future of freedom.
The Tenth Amendment under full frontal More >Video: Cops arrest Christians for handing out gospel at Dearborn Arab festival?
0This was originally posted on HotAir.com
Via Powerline, so insane is this that I’m paranoid there’s a key detail missing somewhere that might explain the whole thing. Could the Christians have been trespassing on private property, maybe? Sure doesn’t look like it, and in any case, they weren’t arrested for trespassing. They were arrested for “disorderly conduct,” which apparently now extends to the offense of offering religious literature to someone who might not want it.
If this is what it looks like, replete with cops confiscating video cameras to keep what happened off the record, it’s one of the most ridiculous First Amendment violations you’ll ever see.
The Thomas More Law Center, an Ann Arbor-based Christian legal defense organization, has agreed to represent four evangelists who were arrested on charges of disturbing the peace Friday night at the Arab International Festival.
