John Heida opened up Heida Computers on Wilma Avenue in 2004. Before that, he worked on computers on the side while also working on his family dairy. Believe it or not, growing up on a dairy meant growing up with a computer. Dairies were early adopters of computers to keep more accurate records of their cows.
We enjoyed over ten years at the original Wilma Avenue location but eventually grew out of it. We moved to 410 W. Main St. Suite C in March of 2015, and we are now enjoying more space with more room to grow.
In April of 2020, John sold the business to one of his employees, Chaucer Mercado, who has been working with him since 2016. He continued to work with Sam until December 2020, when Sam left. Since then, Chaucer has been performing solo, providing IT services to Ripon and surrounding cities.
